In an exclusive presentation for R744.com, Dr. Armin Hafner offers solutions to include real-life testing data to the current GREEN MAC LCCP. This, the expert at SINTEF argues, could help solve of the biggest remaining inflexibility challenges the model faces today.
“As it stands right now, the GREEN MAC LCCP lacks a key aspect to become a real global tool: the integration of real-life testing data from vehicles in real operating conditions. There is a simple way to do this, as you can see in the presentation attached. Even though it may be a challenging effort to get a common approach to fuel consumption measurement of AC systems, an implementation into the model is a simple task and it can be done now”, Hafner states.

“This way, the model can integrate key results gathered by vehicle Manufacturers and suppliers, especially on R744-based systems, which show a much better performance in reality than what the figures at bench testing suggest”, he concludes.
