Bock adds subcritical CO2 compressor range to R744.com |

The German manufacturer has added its compressor range for CO2 cascade refrigeration systems to R744.com’s products database. Bock’s four, robust semi-hermetic models lead to lower energy consumption in commercial and industrial refrigeration applications.

Based on its current semi-hermetic product range and building on extensive experience in the transport sector, Bock has developed a piston compressor range to fit all CO2 (R744) applications of up to 40 bar in supermarket and industrial refrigeration. Through adjustments to existing technology and an extensive use of tried-and-trusted standard parts, Bock’s compressors permit the greatest possible level of operational safety and an economic spare part storage. Their solid construction with low friction sleeve bearings, aluminium piston with two ring assembly, and high resistance piston bolt bearings, ensures a wear-resistant durable driving gear, which leads to substantial life cycle cost reductions. Moreover, a valve plate construction using impact resistant spring steel parts, tested thoroughly all over the world, enables the compressors to operate safely.

Through a continuously variable speed control system – the Bock EFC-System, available as a plug & play accessory for the models HG12P, HG22P, and HG34P installed on the compressor, Bock’s models consume up to 25% less energy compared to compressors using a usual capacity regulator while operating at low vibration and low noise levels. All types are equipped with a special oil to allow good mixing solubility with CO2 while protecting the compressor against wear even at extreme loads.
