The hermetic sensor minimizes leakage risks in trans- and subcritical heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. Its high resistance to vibration and electromagnetic compatibility makes it also the preferred choice for off-road - and specialty vehicles, CO2 compressors, hydraulics and pneumatics. To optimize the performance of R744 systems, Sensata's sensor measures accurately the pressure over a wide temperature range, from -40 °C to 135 °C.
Sensata's new Microfused Strain Gauge Transducer (MSG) series features a piezo-resistive technology, whereby the strain gauges are glass fused into a metal membrane. This inherent hermetic structure leads to an unparalleled media resistance.
Sensata has also developed a high-pressure safety cut-out switch for R744 systems, which will be added to the website soon.
