The new CO2AX aluminium internal heat exchanger system combines high performance with low weight and compact design. It can be used in a variety of different air-conditioning applications, but the present design, based upon an extruded co-axial aluminium tube, has been specifically optimized for the use in Mobile Air Conditioning using R744 as a refrigerant.
Hydro’s CO2AX solution is the result of extensive Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Methods (FEM) modelling work. The cost-optimized heat exchanger is available in several designs with different alloys configurations, thus meeting all requirements of the market.
