The leading manufacturer Dorin is showcasing its semi-hermetic piston compressor for transcritical CO2 commercial refrigeration and heat pump systems. The compressor features high refrigeration capacities and an enhanced design.

Dorin's compressor offers high refrigeration capacities and Coefficient of Performance (COP). Operating in trans-critical conditions, the semi-hermetic piston type is suitable for commercial refrigeration and heat pump systems. It combines compact dimensions with an enhanced bearing and valve plate design, featuring also a generously dimensioned shaft support.
The CO2 compressor has been designed using the most advanced calculation methods, such as FEM analysis. It features low pressure pulsation levels and it is approved under the EU Pressure Equipment Directive to work with a PS value of 163 bar and a Pss value of 100 bar. Dorin decided to develop a completely new compressor platform to meet all challenges posed by the refrigerant CO2.

Background
Dorin was founded in 1918 as a machining center manufacturer, entering the field of refrigeration in 1932 with its first open-drive compressor range. Since the early 50s, Dorin has produced semi-hermetic compressors, commissioning the first CO2 trans-critical type in 1999. The company produces more than 70,000 compressors per year.
