Description
The German expert for dynamic seals has designed a compressor shaft seal for high-pressure R744 vehicle air conditioning, ensuring lowest leakage rates while driving and during long standstill times.
Advantages
- Leak-tight sealing of CO2 compressor shafts
- passed all necessary endurance and leakage tests with excellent results
- Lowest levels of static leakage in new condition and during long standstill times: even at long standstill times of 700 hours the average leakage from an R744 compressor equipped with KACO’s shaft seal is less than 5 g/year (VDA requirement: 15 g/year)
- Lowest level of static leakage after usage during long standstill times
- Lowest level of dynamic leakage at all relevant operation conditions
- High-pressure resistance: resistant to pressures of up to 90 bar
- High temperature resistance: reliable operation at temperatures of 54°C
- Reliability: at all operating conditions the shaft seal works reliably
- Legal compliance: ensures that CO2 compressors already now comply with international leakage requirements and current technical specifications
- Long-term durability
- Low friction loss
- Future-proof: suitable for CO2 MAC used in heat pump mode and especially suited for electric and hybrid vehicles
