As our preview coverage of new natural refrigerant products at Chillventa 2016 continues, today the spotlight falls on US manufacturer Parker-Sporlan, which will launch a new controller for gas cooler and flash gas regulation.
The PSK3LXP2SA01 (‘PSK3LXP’ for short) is an electronic controller engineered as a plug-in capable of delivering best-in-class system coefficient of performance (COP) when coupled with Parker-Sporlan GC and FGB valves.
The PSK3LXP is designed to optimise the COP of CO2 refrigeration systems. Used jointly with PSD4BX3XXXVP positioners and a specific kit of pressure and temperature sensors, the unit helps Parker-Sporlan’s GC and FGB valves to match the optimal gas cooler outlet pressure and the preset flash-gas load inside the CO2 liquid receiver.
The controller optimises the energy consumption of CO2 booster systems both in transcritical and subcritical regions. It is capable of adjusting its control mode in case of parallel compression, heat reclaim, demand for extra capacity or emergency cooling.
