The leading manufacturer of service valves for automotive CO2 units, VENTREX, showcases its robust valve enabling a quick and easy access to any R744 air conditioning system.

VENTREX' charge and service valves for automotive air conditioning systems have been the first to work successfully with R744 systems, distinguishing themselves through high reliability, pressure resistance and a very low leak rate. Being suitable for the high- and low-pressure side of the system, their innovative design makes them the preferred choice for a fast and easy servicing of R744 systems.

The robust design of the push pin type valve, consisting of a valve housing, core and a cap, makes it resistant to explosive decompression. Featuring an internal spring and a short, strong pin, the braze-in body is available in aluminium, stainless steel or brass. The key element of the VENTREX system is, however, the patented, permanent fixed micro sealing lip, which was exclusively designed for the requirements of R744 systems.

Operating successfully on test fleets worldwide, the shape of VENTREX's charge valve is certified by the standard SAE J639 of the U.S. Society of Automotive Engineers.

Other key features of the VENTREX valve-core are:

  • Weight: 3g
  • Pin travel: 3mm
  • Operating pressure 0-14 MPa
  • Maximum pressure 17 MPa
  • Burst pressure >34 MPa

"VENTREX is the global leader for this kind of valves used for charging and servicing CO2 air conditioning systems. We have been the first to design a product working reliably for R744, and the only company to have tested them on whole test fleets," says Peter Pfaffenwimmer, Project Manager at VENTREX.

"After a decade of intense research, we are now ready to yield the fruits of our activities. R744.com will be the right platform to present our product to a global audience," he adds.
