The 3 way electrically actuated 42mm as well as the NB 32mm ball valves perform reliably and efficiently in demanding R744 applications.

2 refrigerant, IRD - Refrigera begun five years ago to manufacture CO
2 components. New products to meet customer needs are being designed constantly. The following products have been now added to the R744.com product database:
3 way electrically actuated R744 ODS 42mm ball valve: This new ball valve is suitable for high-performance systems in high-pressure carbon dioxide plants. The three-way valve receives the incoming flow through the vertical tube and redirects the flow along one of the two horizontal output directions. The actuator operates with a manoeuvring time of 155 seconds permitting operations with a maximum torque of 40 Nm. In addition, it ensures a substantial margin against unwanted blocks due to excessive seats-tightening in case of prolonged opening / closing intervals.
Another highlight is the anchoring system that is pressure-tight and designed to be an additional leaking-barrier. It ensures a minimum annual loss of refrigerant and complies with the latest environmental regulations.

R744 high pressure NB 32mm ball valve: IRD’s new 32mm ball valve is suitable for high-performance and high-pressure R744 transcritical applications. The stainless steel connections ensure high resistance to pressure and mechanical stress and allow coupling with plants through TIG soldering. The inox cast body consists of a high grade of surface polishing and superior lasting even in aggressive environments. The seals are specially designed and tested to be very few permeable to R744 gas in order to avoid the well-known risk of explosive decompression.
