The second article in our feature series about R744 solutions presented last week in Guangzhou, China, is introducing domestic companies and more global providers of valves, measurement tools, air coolers, high-pressure switches, and oil separators, to name just a few.
Saginomiya: The Japanese provider of automatic controls is presenting its valves, pressure controls and pressure sensors for CO
2 hot water heaters. Being highly successful in Japan, the commercialisation has now also started in China where major manufacturers are testing the solutions. Saginomiya expects the Chinese market to move fast as the government will provide financial incentives for manufacturers to build R744 production plants and hence overcome a major barrier of lacking production facilities in the country.
Testo: The expert for portable measurement technology is offering CO
2 sensors and measurement tools for commercial and industrial applications. Being present in more than 20 countries, Testo’s Shanghai office was elected company of the year within the group.
Roller: As part of the German pavilion, Roller is presenting its unit air cooler for CO
2 operation. The product range for direct expansion and design pressures of 55 bar has been tested with 62 bar overpressure to comply with the EU Pressure Equipment Directive. The aluminium units are corrosion resitant and scratchproof.
Luvata: A world leader in metal fabrication, components manufacturing and design services, Luvata is also developing CO
2 coolers for vending machines and supermarkets. Although it has not brought any R744 units to Guangzhou, Luvata confirms that it will probably offer them in China soon.
Matchwell: Guangzhou Match-well Electrical Products Co. is showcasing its CO
2 high-pressure switches. The products are especially designed for refrigeration equipment using R744. Burst pressure is at 34.5 MPa, while the ambient temperature may range from -30°C to +80°C. Any pressure value within 800-2000 PSI can be delivered based on the customer’s requirement. The company states that it is selling its products to China, mainly for industrial ice-makers.
Henry Technologies: The US-based company has developed a wide range of CO
2 ball valves, pressure relief valves, shut-off valves, pressure indicator and switches, as well as oil separators, oil level regulators and oil reservoirs. In cooperation with a number of clients, Henry Technologies is constantly developing new components for subcritical and transcritical operation.
Telasia: A full range of CO
2 sensors and controllers, developed by Swedish provider SenseAir AB, is presented. Based on the state-of-the-art infrared (NDIR) technology, the sensor is virtually maintenance-free.
Tongdy: The Chinese company presents CO
2 detectors, transmitters and controllers. It has more than 10 years of experience in designing digital controllers for the HVAC industry. Its CO2 products can be used in HVAC applications, hotels, hospitals, restaurants, airports, office environments and other places.
