From now on, users of Green & Cool’s refrigeration systems can easily supervise actual readings, set points and alarms using just one system, such as ADAP-KOOL® from Danfoss. The PC programme handles setup, commissioning, log collection and the daily monitoring of the refrigeration plants.
Green & Cool plants now compatible with Danfoss ADAP-KOOL Green & Cool has taken another step to enhance the surveillance of its CO2 refrigeration plants in commercial applications by integrating its own powerful control system “Greenco2ntrol” into a Danfoss ADAP-KOOL surveillance system. Operators can now read process values, set points and alarms directly from their own control system already monitoring cabinets and cold rooms. This will make the daily management of Green & Cool’s systems even easier, and provide the possibility to adjust the low pressure set points according to the optimal value calculated in the Danfoss electronic programme.

“This will make things much easier for the user as from now on, you only need one system like Danfoss ADAP-KOOL to get the whole picture of the refrigerant plant, including the cabinets, cold storage room and the refrigeration unit,” says Stig-Göran Lind, Manager at Green & Cool.
A main reason for the latest move is the fact that in Denmark, a major market for Green & Cool and frontrunner for the use of CO2 Technology, almost every supermarket is connected to a “surveillance central”. The integration of “Greenco2ntrol” into Danfoss’ AKM programme will help maximize store system efficiency and minimize the environmental impact through more accurate control of critical control points, and full local and remote temperature alarm monitoring. This will lead to increased food safety while ensuring the best return on system investment.

Green & Cool’s CO2 systems

The Swedish specialist for CO2 Technology offers a range of R744 models suitable for air conditioning, refrigeration and freezing. Its models Breeze, Crystal, Pacific and Mistral – all displayed on R744.com – feature high safety and efficiency at low costs. They are a preferred choice in Scandinavian countries where restrictive legislation regarding the use of HFCs has spurred the use of CO2 and other natural refrigerants.

With more than 100 transcritical units already operating or currently under construction in Europe, Green & Cool has become a reliable partner of leading market players looking for environmentally safe alternatives to traditional refrigeration and freezer units. In 2003, the company installed its first transcritical system in supermarket refrigeration. Today, Green & Cool delivers its products to hospitals, the supermarket chains COOP and Spar, as well as healthcare company Hoffman La Roche, amongst others.
